Fully Welded Ball Valve

The fully welded trunnion mounted ball valves are designed according to API6D standard, transition & pup pieces could match line grade if needed, available with stem extension for buried installation. These valves are usually applied in wide temperature ranges, particularly for pipeline flow with large size and high pressure. The valves are fire-safe designed and have been certified per API607 and API6FA.

Product Features:

  1. Blow-out proof stem internally inserted which functions as the backseat for assuring stem sealing at all pressure.
  2. Emergency sealant injection fitting to prevent leakage from stem and seats.
  3. Welded construction to eliminate external leakage through the connection of the body and closures.
  4. Secondary metal-to-metal sealing ensures shutting off the line fluid when non-metal sealing is deteriorated by fire.
  5. Loaded floating spring energized seat ensures sealing even at low pressure.

 

Compare to flange split body trunnion mounted ball valves, fully welded body valves eliminate the possibility of leakage through the body connection. The fully welded body design is compact, cost-efficient, and provides maximum strength and resistance to pipeline pressures and stresses. In order to avoid internal damage caused by heat transfer during installation/welding, the valves are designed with extended weld ends.
