Compared to conventional swing check valves, dual plate check valves have the advantage of zero leakage toward the outside (no bolted or threaded connections), cost savings, they can be installed in any line orientation, superior seal performance, offer minimal line shock, lower pressure loss, and zero seat wear.

Working Principle:
The check valve is uni-directional. When the medium flows from upstream to the downstream side, the disc is opened by fluid force; when the medium flows from downstream to the upstream side, the disc is closed by spring force and fluid pressure, blocking the flow passage.

This series of valves are widely used in oil & gas production, petroleum refining, petrochemical, pulp & paper, shipbuilding, and other fluid backflow prevention application.
